Proud Wife

Shobi receiving his certificate
I am so proud of my husband. He has been taking courses to help him out in finding a job. This was his first course at Global Aviation Institute. He passed with high scores and is working on his next course. This will help him be a travel agent or a ticket officer at the airport. He has been working with a travel agent the last year and has enjoyed it. Hopefully he will be here instead of taking a 3rd course. We were told that it could be as soon as July. We both are very anxious to be together. It has been a long 20 months and I want nothing more then to be in the arms of the man I love.

Spring Break in Karachi

On Shobi's break from school a group of his classmates and himself headed to the swimming park. This was just a few pictures Shobi shared with me. Since most of the blog is about what is going on in my life I thought I would post something about my husband. He is taking some classes to better himself in getting a job here in the USA. He is always this happy. I love his smile you can't help but smile when he does. I can't wait until we can be united. We are on the downward slope of the process but we could still have 5 to 7 months. Our lawyer informed me that I will need to be there for his interview. So off to Pakistan I will go. We don't know when the interview is and will only have a month notice at that. It will be nice to be back with my husband and his family. Now don't we wish we were having a spring break like theres!

Spring break.... SNOW!

Yesterday morning it was just raining really hard then by the afternoon it turned to snow! UGH! But spring snow doesn't stay long so it would be melting soon. Well it snowed all night but when I went to bed it was just covering the road and sidewalks.... Well.... here is what it looked like in the morning. I couldn't believe it.... I asked mom is Santa Clause came last night. I looked around but found no presents. :( It is pretty but when it is covering your tulips, daffadils and tree blossoms it is very dissappointing. I just hope the fruit trees survive. The sun is out so it might not last long but it is very heavy wet snow... Great for building a snowman!

Our poor tree I hope it will pop back up.
I did shake it off but it's still bent.

Welcoming Senia

Last night we had Corey, Shannon, Tia, Kaitlinn and Senia over for dinner. This was the first time we got to see precious little Senia. I couldn't believe what dark hair she had. We had so much fun with them. Since we didn't get to see them before Christmas we exchange a few presents and played games. The blanket Senia is laying on... Mom and I made for her. We so enjoy having them come down to visit. We did promise that next time we would go up there. Their kids are always so happy and smily. Very cute little girls. We love you guys!

Diane's 70th surprise party

Diane and Farrel
Mom gave her a crown saying "Mother to be" on it.
We couldn't find one that had a 70
on it so Mom thought this would work since she will be the new Mother to
the sister missionaries in Oakland at the Visitor Center. They are leaving
for a mission. They were called to be the new Visitor Center
Directors at the Oakland Temple.

Diane was very surprised when everyone screamed out....
Surprise and sang Happy Birthday to her.
She had no Idea this was going to happen.
She has a wonderful husband that planned it for her.

LeAnn came over to help me cook the food.
We had a very yummy dinner consisting of
Shrimp Pad Thai, Chicken Pad Thai,
Beef in Oyster sauce and Cashew Chicken.

This is a few of the people that came.
(left to right)
Cami, Tami, Marilyn, Aldine, LeAnn

(Left to right)
Christian, Kirsten, Leslie, Mike, Erica, Brenda, Joseph, Harry and Debra

I was so pleased that I could have a part in making Aunt Diane's 70th Birthday a happy one for her. I wish you the best this next year and thank you for letting me be part of it. I love you Aunt Diane! You are an amazing woman and we are all so lucky to have you in our life.

Lukas' Birthday Party

Lukas had a playdough cookie dough party. I'm not sure who had more fun making them.... the kids or the parents. I think the kids just wanted to eat the dough. There was some bright dough and some blue mouths at this party.

This is Emilynn.... loved her big blue eyes and the pigtails.

Thanks for inviting us to his special day! We had fun watching the kids. I hope Brandi got pictures of Lukas jamming out on his new guitar. He was dancing like Elvis.... he had his leg action down. After he would open a present he would squeal WOW! oooo and hold it up for everyone to see. He was very proud and excited over his presents. I hope you have a wonderful year being "2" Lukas and I hope your parents can live through it! I love you little guy!

My "Special" Friend

I told Jan not to give Hillary any Ideas....
She is our little shark!
Love your guts!

Utah Sunset

January 8th 2009

Mom and I were just cleaning up after dinner on Thursday night when I noticed from the front window the orange poking through. We went outside and this is what we found. Utah can have some of the most beautiful sunsets. I love the cloud formation.

Let it snow Let it snow...... then I shoveled!

One huge snowman!
This is located in our neighborhood. I have never seen one so big.
I just had to share it with everyone.

Monday night it started snowing and I shoveled a few times.... then Tuesday morning I was out again shoveling. It didn't stop snowing until late Tuesday night. It was beautiful and I wish I had the pictures off my phone to show you some when it was snowing. One day I will figure it out... yes I did try to email them to me but my phone won't let you do that. I thought it was a cool phone. :) This was taken after the sun shone on it all day. Melted and all it is alot of snow that Orem hasn't had for a few years. Well at least not in one day that is.... I would say we got 12 to 18 inches.

Just one from the front porch.

Christmas at the Lopez's

Mom and I decided to go to Arizona this year for Christmas. We stayed at Kristy and Juan's and we visited with Greg and Leslie and their family. Mom had a special day with Kristy and Eli as she was able to go threw the temple with both of them on the 23rd. After which we all went out to dinner and came back to the Lopez's and played Christmas Bingo and had dessert. We had a great time getting together. It has been a long time since I have spent Christmas with the Benson's and Lopez's in Arizona. It was so fun to see the excitement with the children for Christmas. Christmas morning was with the Lopez's then we headed up to Greg's for the evening. Thanks for having us for Christmas!

I would have put in the picture of Juan getting his
playstation 3 from his wife but it didn't turn out.
sorry!

Mom fast asleep after all the excitement.
This is what she does best! :)

I want to thank everyone for making this a wonderful Christmas. It wasn't just the gifts I want to thank you for but for being my family and friends and caring for me. I feel truely blessed to have you all in my life. May we all have a wonderful and Happy 2009 with no plagues attached! I love you all! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
